We had Bell and Cogeco came by with the 1GB Internet offer annd eventually switched. We lasted literally a week because everything seem to be worse, especially for my mom. It was from the picture quality, lag in the channels/layout and speed really fluctuated on us. We went back to Bell and reworked a better contract (still more then Cogeco but -$40 from old plan) and went from 100/10 to 500/ ...

Although the connection with Cogeco has been good so far, but they are really pricks when it comes to negotiation on the bill to a reasonable rate and as soon as I get a good provider in my area for a better rate, im switching. Went with Cogeco and decided to give them couple of months to try. Getting around 500mbs thru my wifi so pretty happy with that. I haven't been long with Cogeco, around 18 months. During that time I have had maybe 3-4 outages so it's not too bad at all. Looks like bell is stealing their customers so they have to do something to keep them somehow.

Cogeco - Raising Prices Again! I received a letter in the mail today with another price increase. This time +$6.00 for TV and +$6.00 for Internet starting September 1st. My internet/tv bill is now up to $200/mth (1Gbps + Epico TV). It's outrageous if you really think about it. Time to look at other options. Anyone have any good suggestions?
